Glossary
- Patch
- One change applied to the YouTube app, such as removing ads. You keep the ones you want.
- Background playback
- The sound keeps playing when you exit the app or lock the phone.
- Dislike count
- The number of dislikes under a video, shown again next to the likes.
- Build
- The finished YouTube app with your patches in it, built for the device you are on.
- SponsorBlock
- Skips the sponsor plugs inside videos, so the video goes straight ahead.
- Shorts shelf
- The row of Shorts that YouTube puts in your feed. Your build leaves it off.
